Join Jo and friends for a “step back in time” to enjoy the timeless methods of quiltmaking. Learn new skills and refine “old” techniques.
Two full days with Jo will be spent in a beautiful setting at Kimmel Education Center at Kimmel Orchard, just one of many attractions in Nebraska City, where Jo and Russ reside.
In March bring your sewing machine, you will learn Jo’s helpful hints for accuracy and her pressing tips, the project TBA in January 2012.
September will focus on ‘handwork’, including appliqué methods and hand piecing, the project TBA in January 2012.
Highlight of the seminar – To inspire you, Jo will share quilts and other items that she does not travel with. She will also give you a “sneak peek” at new fabrics and quilts, plus a few other surprises!
Shop in “Jo’s Store” – stocked with her books, fabrics (some out of print) and some of her favorite notions. Maybe some surprises too!
The weekend begins at 8 AM Friday and it ends on Sunday after lunch.
Your fee of $309.00 includes the following meals – breakfast and lunch on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and dinner Friday and Saturday evening.
Space is limited to twenty four students. Your payment in full will hold your spot – info and registration form will be available January 2012.
You will be responsible for making your own hotel and travel arrangements.
A supply list for the projects and a list of area accommodations will be sent to all attendees.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to spend time learning from Jo and deepening friendships with other quilters who share your passion!
You will probably want to arrive at least one day early and go to Lincoln, NE to the International Quilt Study Center and Museum (http://www.quiltstudy.org/) to see the current exhibit.
