Addition to Block 49 – Cups and Saucers – BlockHeads2

***Sorry for not adding the block directions, a wee distracted with the historic flooding around our area. We are high and dry in our 90 year old home, but many people we know have lost furnishings, some their homes, cars, boats, farms have lost livestock, work travel routes are 2 hours instead of 20 minutes. Roads have washed out, bridges too, closed roads and long work arounds.  Epic flood miles upriver and miles downriver, add the devastation caused by smaller rivers that feed into the Missouri River. Hard to wrap my head around all of it.

  1. Glad you are safe and sound! My hometown is affected by the flooding with the levees breaching. It is devastating. A question on the instructions for this weeks block: Should the HST’s in step one be trimmed to 2.5″ square instead of the stated 1.5″ square? Thank you!

  2. I have been worried about you and distraught about the devastation. I am from an area that was similarly impacted over 10 years ago and many are still struggling to recover.

    • So sorry about he floods. We have a. Cyclone. In north Queensland bearing down into the Northern Territory of Australią. Serious flooding expected.

  5. ImI glad you are safe. Are you in Nebraska? I have family yhthe, and they say its awful, still can’t believe the devastation.

  6. All this flooding is horrible, seeing so many friends and neighbors losing everything even their pets is heart wrenching. i drove to Council Bluffs today, honestly it looks like we are living in the middle of the Great Lakes. However a note from Jo brightened my day (:
