Woo Hoo – once again our most favorite day of the week . . . . Wednesday!
First the question for this week: Do you decorate with quilts for the Holidays? Are they color-themed, or do they include Holiday motifs.
Remember it is old fashioned Jo answering this question – yes to the color-themed . . . and sometimes not exactly color-themed, but still the quilts seem to work during the Christmas Season. The quilts I use can be made by me or antique quilts I’ve purchased over the years, both are included in our home Christmas decor.
I do not include Holidays motifs in the quilts I make. Think of it as ‘something for everyone’, yes I’m old fashioned, love antique quilts or newer made quilts with vintage appeal. This has been my goal for well over 30 years, making quilts with vintage appeal, I don’t see me changing now. LOL
This weeks block is by our friend Jan Patek, you will find the link to the block directions on Jan’s Blog, http://janpatek.blogspot.com/
This is my version for Block 40, I used pieces from ‘New Hope’ (January 2018) and the branch is from gratitude. Pretty sweet I think, thanks so much Jan!
Be sure and check our friends Blogs for their versions of this block.
