Has been a busy week here, now missing my retreat friends.
Time for another BlockHeads block, tomorrow is Wednesday, hump day and better yet the new block reveal. Don’t you love the variations you see from the other designers followed by all the other posts. Very inspiring that so many are working on the same project with so many different results. Quilting is just the best hobby ever.
Question of the week: In the 20 years (more like 37 years) that I’ve been making quilts – is there a product invention that makes you the happiest? Actually for me I’m happiest that the mills are using better dyes that are colorfast, and the quality of the fabrics is so wonderful compared to over 30 years ago. Happy Dance here!
This weeks block is by our friend Betsy Chutchian, named ‘Cat’s Cradle’. Love these little HST, seriously I do. Of course I’ve made yet another scrappy block.
You can get the directions on Betsy’s Blog: http://betsysbestquiltsandmore.blogspot.com/
First I’m going to show you the 3 blocks I’ve remade, blocks 17, 20 and 23. I know you are curious.
For this week, below is my block pressing.
And . . . finally my block
I used browns and tans and the wallpaper background from ‘Timeless’ that is now in your local or favorite quilt shop. I’m sneaking in some backgrounds from my new line ‘New Hope’, it ships in Jan/Feb 2018.
Be sure and check our friends Blog posts for their versions!

Don’t forget the link to this page – it is a permanent page, it will be updated weekly to include the new block and more. But you know this.
Summer is winding down, we are moving to cooler weather that I personally am looking forward to.
I’m also so very impressed with the wonderful people of Houston, Texas and surrounding areas, dealing with Hurricane Harvey, ‘people helping people’, beautiful behavior in this horrible disaster. Many other states are sending in aid and help. God Bless them all.
