week 4, block 4 – Moda BlockHeads BOW

Good morning on a rainy Wednesday morning, it ‘was’ going to be a great day to hang in the studio and sew, sew, sew!

After paying bills and other office work, including a US Dept of Commerce Economics and Statistics Administration, US Census Bureau, the 2017 Commodity Flow Survey.  Seriously folks, they want to know how much this very small business ships during a specified week in March.  It states it will take an average of 2.5 hours to complete . . . I’m thinking I may not get to sew today after all.  Cross your fingers it only takes me 2.5 hours to complete. And, there’s more – I get to do this every quarter this year!

The good news I have my block done for this week!  It was fun to appliqué Jan’s charming Bee Skep, it makes me think of Spring!

Go to Jan’s Blog to download this weeks pattern.

If you don’t see the pattern yet, check back, she may have slept in this rainy morning, don’t you love to do that, have patience sweet friends.

block 3 pressing

A lady asked about step by step directions, the pattern page shows cutting, row assembly and which way to press.

I’m posting a picture of the black of the block for my pressing, and using my ‘Clipping Trick’ that is described in my JLW Clubs (if you are a member), or in my books.  Hope this is helpful.

Moda Blockheads – week 3, block 3

Once again the week has flown by!

My new fabric line ‘Timeless’ arrived at my door.  It ships to your local or fav quilt shop in August! Since time flies these days, you will have it before you know it.

I know you want to see it, I’m adding it to my bin of fabrics for this BOW.

I’ve enjoyed seeing so many beautiful blocks this past week, keep up the great work, and please keep posting to our FB Moda Blockhead page.

The block this week is mine, and called ‘Four X’, enjoy making your version, can’t wait to see yours!
